How do I update my address, phone number or email?

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. In the navigation, select My Profile from the dropdown menu under My Portfolio.    
  3. Go to the Profile page.

To update your address:

  1. On the Profile page, under Account Addresses, select the “Update All Addresses” link.
  2. On the Update All Addresses page, enter your new address in the fields provided.
  3. Select the “Continue” button.
  4. On the Verify New Address page, review the information you provided and select the “Submit” button. You’ll be taken to a confirmation page.

To update your phone number:

  1. On the Profile page, under Phone Numbers, select the “Update Phone” link.
  2. On the Update Phone Numbers page, enter your new phone number(s) in the fields provided.
  3. Select the “Continue” button.
  4. On the Verify Phone Numbers page, review the information you provided and select the “Submit” button. You’ll be taken to a confirmation page.

To update your email:

  1. On the Profile page, under Email Address, select the “Update Email” link.
  2. On the Update Email page, enter your new email address in the fields provided.
  3. Select the “Submit” button. You’ll be taken to a confirmation page.

How do I change my document delivery preferences?

  1. Log in to Portfolio.
  2. Go to the Profile page.
  3. Under Document Delivery Preferences, select the “Update Preferences” link.
  4. On the Document Delivery Preferences page, make your changes.
  5. Select the “Submit” button. You’ll be taken to a confirmation page. 

Do the changes I make to My Profile in ThriventFunds.com get updated in my Thrivent.com account?

Only updates to your address and email will be transferred over. In order to make any changes to your information, such as phone numbers, email or document delivery preferences associated with your Thrivent.com accounts, you’ll need to go to Thrivent.com.

Where do I find my ThriventFunds.com mutual fund statements and tax forms?

  1. Log in to Portfolio.
  2. Select the “My Documents” link.

Where do I find account values for my mutual fund? 

  1. Log in to Portfolio.
  2. On the Portfolio landing page, move down the page to view each account you own.
  3. Account values are listed for each account.

How do I add, change or update a beneficiary on my mutual fund account?

To update your beneficiary online:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. In the navigation, select My Profile from the dropdown menu under My Portfolio
  3. On the Profile page, under Beneficiary Management, select the “View Beneficiaries” link
  4. Select the “edit” link next to the fund/account you wish to update
  5. On the Manage Beneficiaries screen you must complete the “Update” screen to delete and/or add new primary and/or contingent beneficiaries, then complete the Verification” and “Confirmation” screens.

To update your beneficiary in writing, you must complete the Mutual Funds Beneficiary Designation form. 

Before you send us your form, make sure you’ve provided the following:

  • Fund/Account number
  • Primary beneficiary’s Social Security Number
  • Name of custodian if the beneficiary is a minor
  • Signatures from all existing account owners
  • Mail it or fax it to our office using the address and fax numbers found on the form

How do I transfer an account from another financial institution to a Thrivent Mutual Funds account?

If you’re transferring a retirement or other tax-deferred account, you can learn more about your options in order to make an informed decision by visiting our Rollover Accounts page.

In order to transfer a general investing account (an account with no tax benefits) you have at another financial institution to a Thrivent Funds account, complete the Nonqualified Transfer form MF10136.

  • Obtain signatures from all new and existing account owners
  • Contact your financial institution and ask whether they require the following before transferring your funds:
    • A signature guarantee or 
    • Medallion Signature Guarantee Seal or Notary Seal
  • Mail it or fax it to our office using the address and fax number found on the form

How do I transfer an account to a trust?

In order to transfer an account into a trust account complete the following two forms:

How do I transfer an UTMA/UGMA for a minor who’s reached the age of majority?

How do I transfer an account due to death of an account owner?

Complete a Change of Registration form MF23432

  • A copy of the certified death certificate if one is NOT currently on file with Thrivent Funds or Thrivent Financial annuity/life/death claims
  • Include signatures from all authorized individuals 
  • Mail it or fax it to our office using the address and fax number found on the form
