Providing direction and guidance for families of children and youth with special needs is at the heart of this organization.
Arete Academy of Exceptional Education and Wellness Center is a private school and non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for bright students with learning differences, ADHD and/or anxiety. Arete offers an individualized, whole systems approach for this unique, under-identified and underserved population and their families.

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides children facing adversity with strong, enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Big Brothers Big Sisters ensures that the children in its program achieve measurable outcomes, including educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships.
Camp Sunshine enriches the lives of Georgia’s children with cancer and their families through year round recreational, educational and support programs. It began as a one week summer camp in 1983, and has grown since then to much more than a summer camp. Camp Sunshine is now a statewide program, serving over 1000 children and their family members throughout the year with more than 150 programs.

Friends of Children’s Hospital
Friends of Children’s Hospital is a nonprofit organization benefiting Batson Children’s Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Friends works to support and promote Mississippi’s only hospital designed and equipped specifically for the care and treatment of sick or injured children. Their goal is to raise money for state-of-the-art equipment, facilities, and services for all pediatric patients by building a statewide base of community support.
Gilda’s Club Twin Cities
Gilda’s Club Twin Cities is a warm and welcoming place where everyone – men, women, teens, and children, including their families and friends – affected by cancer can go for social and emotional support. Activities, provided free of charge, include networking and support groups, workshops, education and social opportunities. Gilda’s Club helps ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
Haven Hospice is the source for patients, their families and their healthcare providers to find answers to their advanced illness challenges. In addition to providing comfort through the compassionate delivery of hospice services, Haven offers Advance Care Planning, Palliative Care Consultations and Transitions services with a patient-centric focus as well as grief support and bereavement programs across North Florida including Camp Safe Haven, special grief support experiences for children, teens and families who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
Houston Food Bank
America’s largest food bank, the Houston Food Bank distributed 83 million nutritious meals in fiscal year 2016-2017 through a network of 600 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other hunger relief charities in southeast Texas, feeding 800,000 individuals each year. Fresh produce, meat and nonperishables are distributed from our warehouse and nutritious hot meals for kids are prepared in our new state-of-the-art Keegan Kitchen.
Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. When a wish comes true, it creates strength, hope and transformation. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child’s wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Make-A-Wish has granted 300,000+ wishes in the U.S. since 1980.
Minnesota Children’s Museum
Minnesota Children’s Museum is dedicated to sparking children’s learning through play. We thrive as a happier, healthier and more innovative community through the radiant power of play. Through immersive exhibits and programs, the museum emphasizes play as a critical ingredient in every child’s development. The museum, which first opened in 1981 and moved to downtown St. Paul in 1995, serves more than 500,000 visitors each year at its locations in St. Paul and Rochester, and reaches thousands more across the state through Smart Play Spots, Storyland exhibit and other programs.
People Serving People
People Serving People helps homeless and at-risk children and their families manage crisis situations and build a strong foundation for their long-term success. People Serving People combines emergency housing with a broad range of on-site programs designed to address common barriers faced by families experiencing homelessness. People Serving People envisions a community in which all children have the stability and support they need to develop their full capacity to thrive.

Through its global network of nearly 290 Chapters in more than 64 countries and regions, and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House®, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, RMHC helps families with sick children stay together, and close to the medical care their child needs at leading hospitals worldwide.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®

For the last 35 years, SAMMinistries has worked to help families and individuals overcome homelessness in San Antonio utilizing a comprehensive and holistic approach. SAMMinistries offers a wide range of programming to help people avoid the trauma of homelessness; reduce the time that they remain homeless; provide transitional and permanent housing; and offer support services that encourage education, skill-building, and health and wellness as key components of success.
Second Harvest Heartland
Second Harvest Heartland is one of the nation’s largest, most efficient and most innovative hunger relief organizations, helping provide more than 81 million meals in 2017 alone. Second Harvest Heartland believes no one should ever go hungry, as our region has more than enough food for everyone. Since 2001, we have worked to help provide meals for the one in 10 individuals in Minnesota and western Wisconsin who experience hunger by strengthening the hunger relief network, working with nearly 1,000 partnering food shelves, food pantries and other meal programs.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. SFHBM serves a total of 19 counties (14 in North Carolina and 5 in South Carolina) and provides food for over 700 partner agencies including soup kitchens, emergency pantries, homeless shelters, senior programs, and low-income daycares. In fiscal year 2016-2017, SHFBM distributed over 54 million pounds of food and other household items throughout our 19 county service region – 18 million pounds of our annual distribution is fresh produce, meat and dairy.
